At the beginning of the week, I completed the booking of my trip to the West Coast on May 20-24. I’m still wondering if I should visit Muscle Beach, LA.
Then, I came back to my research work. I finished picking up newspaper articles, created a JDA collection (https://jdarchive.org/en/collection/2265), and completed the qualitative data analysis. I tried to use NVivo's Concept Map feature to create a flowchart of the articles' contents and wrote up the results of the analysis on Internet search results and newspaper articles. After that, I had a meeting with Prof. Gordon. We talked about questions at the Japan Forum, the definition of a disaster, and the results of the newspaper article analysis.
On Tuesday, I watched the baseball game between the Red Sox and the Angels at Fenway Park with Watanabe-san. We were able to watch Otani-san and Sawamura.
On Wednesday, I tried Pinocchio's Pizza & Subs with Nakai-sensei. Mark Zuckerberg is a big fun of this pizza restaurant.
On Sunday, I had dinner at Charlie's Kitchen with Seong-Hyon Lee, who lives in the same apartment. He recommended OZARK and Mighty Squirrel Brewing Co. He loves Netflix and local beer.
